Consular Assistant

The Consular Assistant interacts daily with U.S. citizens, visa applicants, host government officials, and other interested parties to provide the full range of Nonimmigrant Visa, Immigrant Visa, and American Citizen Services, including Special Consular Services and Fraud Prevention, offered at Post. The position requires a high-level attention to detail to ensure cases meet documentary requirements, as well as to spot trends or potential issues and escalate those as necessary. The job holder is fully cross trained to function in any role as required by consular scheduling. The job holder serves as one of the primary points of contact for U.S. citizens in the consular district and maintains a network of public and private sector contacts who may be able to assist U.S. citizens.
